more playdoh

Yesterday's playdoh pictures got me thinking about the pictures I took last year of the girls playing with playdoh so i got out my stuff and put together this simple LO.

My cutie little turtle lollipop flowers with rick rack leaves!

My picture of the day is the shots Skyler got today. She didn't even cry (this is unprecedented!) just looked pissed off at the doctor. We make em tough here!

We took the girls to the McD's playplace and they bravely climbed the two story structure to play.

It made me think about the equipment they used to have. My fave was going up the inside of the Big Mac Cop's body and ending up in his head (it had bars for a jail). If anyone knows what the heck his name was i'd appreciate them telling me because that tidbit of trivia has been bothering me for years!
It's not Mayor McCheese (he had the sash and was a quarter pounder). Oh, and what the heck is Grimace supposed to be? Why name a kids character Grimace at all?  Just some trivial thoughts.

Makin' Trees

I did this LO and was proud of myself that i managed to keep dh "Snuffy" for the pic! LOL Check out his embelly head!!

I freehand cut this tree out of Bazzill and Crate Paper. I also made my own grass. The owl brad is Kaiser craft.

Gotta love KD!!!! Seriously, i could live on it! Sick, i know - perhaps it harkens back to poor University student days. What food could you live on?

Playdoh head

Rayna calls it playdoh-head. Maybe a weird combo with potatoe head, i'm not sure.
I just love that they get to play with cookie cutters i used when i was a kid.

"They" say that playing with playdoh works out aggression.

What do you think?

I love how this LO turned out. Got to use a tiny bit of the BG Wisteria again (lovin it, think i'll cry when its all gone).
I struggled with the title for this but think that using the date worked in the end.

PS - that crocheted flower was made by Sue. Check out her blog, she's super talented.

What's in your closet?

I love how this picture shows a brief glimpse into the lives of my 2 and 4 year old girls. Princess Beauty dresses, clothes they don't fit yet and colorful dresses!

It got me thinking about what we wear and what is says about us. My closet is currently full of bags and bags of baby clothes and bins of completed scrapbooks. It seems to say, "you are a mom now and love to scrapbook more than buy new clothes." LOL

What does your closet say?

What to do?

...When you run out of bling? GASP!

Stitch it on, of course!
I had several eggs left over from my experimentation so I decided to make individual pages for the girls. It actually came together quite quickly (about 2 hours with stitching).
It got me thinking. What is the longest you've taken to do a page?
My picture for yesterday is one of our kitchen cupboards.

I scream, you scream...

we all scream for ice cream!

Yesterday, we took a tour of a local ice cream shop and got to make our own. Serenity chose bubble gum with sprinkles and Rayna chose bubble gum with M&M's! Sugar overload!

I think Sarah's choice was best though - maple with skor bar! D-lish!
How cute are these aprons?
What's your favourite ice cream flavour?

Creating Eggs

Skyler is 6 months old today so i did a photo shoot with her yesterday for my picture of the day. The ice cream outfit that she is wearing my friend Patti sent her - thanks Patti!
I love these pictures of my girls dying their first easter eggs.
Messy but great fun!
I am really loving my liquid pearls these days. I used them to outline the whole page and to decorate my eggs. I had to make lots of eggs before i was happy with them.
Off to learn how to make ice cream.

Aloyisious Snuffleupagus

Ok, so yesterday's picture of the day is actually a pic of my dh and 3 dd's. However, my dh prefers to remain "snuffleupagus" as far as my blog is concerned. (and i do mean the snuffy of my generation - the IMAGINARY friend, not the one who could be seen) LOL!

Sooooooooooo, this picture will have to do! Happy Father's Day Snuffy!

I was inspired by the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line to do the page below.

Look at Skyler sleeping all peacefully after she kept me up most of the night before! LOL
Oh the joys of having babies.
That's all for now....

Books, books and more books

We went to the library today to pick up some new books and get a sticker for being in our local summer reading club (anything for a sticker!) It got me thinking about some of our favourite books. So today's picture is one of the girls favourite books and you can see it is well loved!

They also love Silly Sally (which I have memorized) and Good Families Don't by Robert Munsch (which is about a fart so it gets lots of giggles).

I am currently reading City of Glass by Cassandra Clare! It is awesome and the last in the trilogy. If you liked Twilight or the Sookie Stackhouse series you'll like these books. They aren't focused on vampires but they are about supernatural creatures.

So what are you reading? Any recommendations for me?

TGIF

Yesterday's picture of the day is called Twins. I can't see the difference, can you see the difference?

There was a TGIF online crop at the Paper Passion and this is what I did for it.
This LO was for a make your own flower challenge and, of course, I made a lollipop circle flower.

Behold, a two page LO!
This was for my challenge - use the name of a TV show for your title.
Love my little girls!

Mowhawk

I was over at Melissa's blog (very talented - go check her out) today and she had the most hysterical hairstyle quiz! You can take it yourself here and let me know what hairstyle you are too!

I was a Mohawk

"You are a true rebel. You enjoy flaunting your nonconformity. Your idea of style is not fitting in with the crowd. You like to look unique. At your best, you are creative and ready to challenge the status quo.At your worst, you are surly and stubborn. You sometimes scar people."
(ps. they might have meant "scare" people LOL)!

Yesterday's picture of the day is: "The Toys Go Marching" - sung to the tune of The Ants Go Marching! Rayna made this parade for me while i was making breakfast.

Today's picture is the fly Rayna caught in her butterfly net! Yes, she is a little samurai warrior in disguise and has actually snatched both a butterfly and moth out of thin air before! Luckily, this time she didn't try to eat the fly!

Conversation with a 2 year old

Rayna "Mommy, I want some grapesh"

Me "ok baby, what's that in your mouth?"

Rayna "grapesh"

UH OH - she's been in the fridge!

Me "Ahhhh" ~ the sound i make when i step on a grape on my way into the kitchen to investigate! LOL :)

Here is yesterday's picture of the day:

She actually got the grapes out of the fridge and put them in her snack bowl and then proceeded to eat most of them before she came to ask if she could have any! Smart girl!

Check back tomorrow for the blog hop from the Paper Passion! Lots of inspiring ladies to check out!
