Poo-cano

Oh yes!  The legendary Poo-cano!  The one that no one thinks actually exists.  I am here to tell you that IT DOES!!!!

Skyler had so much poo on her that even her sisters were screaming about it!
Thank goodness she's so cute or we might have thrown the baby out with the bathwater!

PS - I got this sketch from Jill.  She has a great crafty blog and does digi and paper scrapbooking - she's definitely worth checking out!

Going on a Babymoon!

I am going on a Babymoon!  That's right, I am having my 4th Baby!  Soo exciting!

This is the ultrasound where the baby is sucking it's thumb!!!!
For the life of me I couldn't cut a proper hexagon so Hayley Googled it for me and I traced one.

I won't be around for awhile.........I'll be sleep deprived and b**chy, you won't wanna know me LOL!

However, I have autoposted for awhile, mostly because I scrapped tons knowing that I won't get to scrap for quite some time LOL!

So please forgive me if I don't visit for awhile or if it is sporadic!

Lookin UP

I love this picture of my family - especially Snuffy LOL!  The funny thing is that I was trying so hard to get a good picture of the four of them that I never ended up taking ANY pictures of the parade LOL!

Notice that in this picture NONE of them are looking at me and it is my favourite from the day!  I could never get them all looking at me at once (or at least looking without making faces).
Skyler loved the parade this year because we gave her her first lollipop.

It kept her busy for almost an hour and she was a sticky, icky mess afterwards!
What have you missed taking pictures of because you were trying too hard?

Baby Giant

I love how this picture looks like Rayna is a giant, plucking trees off the shoreline to use to dig in the dirt.  This was also the day that she ate the sand with gusto and cried whenever we tried to get it out of her mouth! LOL

This was my first successful attempt to make fan flowers.  There is NOTHING particularly difficult about them but somehow mine always turned out weird or not at all.  Then I saw a step-by-step tutorial on someone's blog (sorry, can't remember who) and I just went "AHHH, that's how you do it."  (however, if you look closely you can see that one of the flowers is a bit weird because somehow i cut the paper crooked.  Heck, I used it anyway, whooo cares???)
What technique have you tried over and over again but just not gotten the hang of?  (For the life of me I cannot use Flock - it drives me flockin crazy!)

Do you remember Scrapbook Sally?

I've been scrapping a loooong time.  I started in the Creative Memories days and wasn't very fond of it at first.  "You want me to cut up my pictures?  YEAH RIGHT!!"  Anywhoooo, when I took out this 1000 year old scrapbook paper (the background) I looked on the back and who should I see but Scrapbook Sally.  Do you remember her?

I am looking to use up my stash and thought that this old piece of paper went fab with the new Bo Bunny paper.  Aren't my girls adorable in this swing?  It is soooo hard to get them all to even look at me at once!
What old scrapbooking trend or item do you remember?

PS - I got the inspiration for this page on the American Crafts blog (especially the stitched heart).

Read On

I love the library, always have, and am so glad that my girls love it too.  Almost every week we go to story time and I let the girls pick out a few books.

I remember when I was little that my mom would take us once a month and we were allowed to choose 25 books each (the library limit)!  That was always sooooo awesome!
I hope my girls have a life long love of books!

What was your fave book as a child?

PS - I got this sketch from a LO by Kim Watson in CK tips and tricks.  I really liked how she did a strip of patterned paper (cut with a border punch) over the same patterned paper, to give it subtle dimension.

Color

This morning, after I got dressed, I looked in the mirror and had a flashback to "What Not To Wear!" LOL  I pictured a woman all in brown (I have on brown and khaki) and Clinton Kelly starting at her top and working his way down saying, "BLAH...........BLAH................BLAH..............SOOOOOOOO BORING!"  LOL

Yup, I look like a baked potatoe today!  It doesn't help that I am baking one in my belly either!  But it did remind me, after a very good laugh, that I need more color in my life.  When I do the laundry almost all the dark clothes are mine and Snuffy's - the girls have all the color.  So, after I lose the baby weight, I am going to buy clothes in all the colors of the rainbow!

My scrap pages never lack color.  Check out this page about Rayna.  I got the idea for this page from the Scrapbook Nook kit designers.
She is so quirky, wanting to make her own pool in the wagon instead of enjoying the big pool.  She also requested that the page have, "a butterfly up at the top" so I did it just for her.

I finally found a use for those old rulers I have too.  Instead of cutting paper in a wave pattern I used it to poke holes for sewing the waves.
Those black dots were made by Ranger's enamel - sort of like liquid pearls but shiny without the glitter - love it because liquid pearls doesn't come in black.

Do you need more color in your life?

PS - Does anyone know of a good blog designer?  I want to start another blog (more details later) but want it designed to my specific needs.  All the designers I've seen on others blogs seem to have a 18 month wait list or are closed.  HELP!

Enthusiasm

We have a real enthusiasm for just about everything around here! We're loud and rambunctious!
I love all the colors from this Jillibean Soup paper!
I am super enthusiastic to scrap at home these days.  I love that I have all my stuff with me, my comfy chair, big table and music blasting!  But most of all, I love how TIDY I can be!  I can put my stuff away as I go and then my space is ready for a new page.

The only thing I miss is the company of my girls - but I get that too sometimes.

Where is your fave place to scrap and why?

Snow Fun

In the deep heat of summer I bring you.....a snow layout!
I love that the fave part of the snow was brushing it off of my old car.

There are a few clear snowflakes on the page that don't show up very well on the picture.  I used Fancy Pants Summer Soiree paper for this - it isn't just for summer.
I got the idea for these felt snow balls from a LO by Kim Watson in the Jan 2010 CK.  I am also digging the Tim Holtz mini negative strip - very retro!

What are you doing to beat the heat right now?

Kisses and Giggles

Serenity and Rayna have always been a bit aggressive with their love!  They love to kiss and hug but it usually ends up on the floor in a heap of giggles (sometimes with bonked heads)!
I cut these flowers and stems from patterned paper.  I used the big one to cover up an ugly old couch we used to have.
I hope you all have lots of kisses and giggles today!

Ladybugs

We had a blast preparing for Rayna's Ladybug birthday party.
We made tons of crafts all week and used them to decorate for her party.  I did forget to do the pinata at the party but the girls were fine with doing it the next day.
The milk carton lady bugs were a bit creepy, i kept seeing them out of the corner of my eye and thinking they were spiders!  Rayna gave each of them a unique number of eyes, which didn't help! LOL

Do you make your own decorations or buy them?  (I bought all the Toy Story stuff for her birthday this year)

PS - I scraplifted this LO from Mou Saha's "Ikea" LO in a fairly recent CK.

Backyardigans

My girls all loooove to play in the backyard, even if sometimes they all do their own thing.

I foolishly forgot to journal on this so ended up sticking it to the back of the layout after the fact.  LOL!
I used almost all of one sheet of patterned paper.  One side had the green pattern and the other had the yellow pattern and a sprinkler on it.  I didn't want to do a sprinkler page so I cut up the water and made it into the waves behind the flower.  The only extra patterned paper I used was the strip of purple behind the pictures.  I love double sided paper, it gives so much diversity to a page.

However, I keep hearing people at crops say that they hate to cut it up because then they aren't using the other side or that they need to buy two pieces.  I say, use both sides on one page!

Do you use both sides?

Skyler's baby parts

I love taking pictures of all the cutie tiny baby parts!  Can't wait to take some of the new baby (heck, there's nothing else to do at the hospital)!
Super simple LO that I know I scraplifted but can't remember where from - baby brain strikes again LOL!

What is your fave subject to photograph?

Bane

The Bane of My Existence!
We gave away 3 garbage bags full and this was what was left!
The only problem for me is - how do I resist these faces???

What is taking over your house right now?

Lost in Etsy

Today I got lost in Etsy world for 1/2 hour (ok, more like 45 minutes)!  Even the girls joined me and hooted at all the owls.  I searched for owl buttons (because the store I heard they were in had none) and found a plethora of things I want soooo bad!  These were my faves.

I love the green on these buttons HERE!
I want to buy this cutie necklace HERE.
These are too cute and made of felt HERE.
These are the cutest buttons HERE!
But this was by far the thing that I fell in love with the most HERE!  It is an owl hat and body for a baby!  If I had a 'spare' $68 I'd buy it! LOL
This same shop had this pink owl hat for about $30 and if I have another girl I am soooo gonna buy it!  You can see it HERE!

That's it for my Owl love today!  Have you gotten lost in Etsy?  What is your fave find?

C-Section

I love that the girls are curious about the new baby growing in my 'tummy.'  We had a discussion about how the baby comes out and this was the result: A Reenactment! LOL

I love cutting out pieces of my patterned paper to make embellies and then adding something to them.
This is how to get a baby, C-section style! LOL
Poor girls, when they find out how babies normally come out LOL!

1st Food

I think it is a hoot to see how each kid reacts to food for the first time.  Rayna kept closing her eyes so we couldn't figure out if she hated it or was savouring every bite!
I made this flower with a cardboard base and love the distressed look it brings.  You can get free cardboard by using your Starbucks coffee sleeves for this kind of thing.
I love the idea of replacing O's with embellies (saves my alphas too).
I rolled these paper beads and then thought, "why not use real beads too."  The cool thing is that you can put thread through the beads and sew them to the page!
Here's the final page - you can click on it to make it larger!

What is your fave food?
