Ok, so I have finally given in to the monolithic, omnipresent Facebook and signed up! What prompted me to do so?
Yup, that's right, Facebook saves you money! For example: right now, if you "LIKE" Olay Canada they will send you and your friends free stuff! Woo Hoo, who couldn't use more free stuff? Especially makeup and skin care stuff? (SO, if you are my friend on facebook then I probably sent you an Olay invite to your mail box - open it, FREE STUFF!)
Ever since I saw the show Extreme Couponing on TLC, I have been fascinated by the idea of using coupons to save money and get free stuff. It is much easier to accomplish this in the USA because Canadian companies are
HOWEVER, my Canadian peeps, there are several websites that you can go to to get coupons and they mail them right to your door!
http://www.save.ca/
http://www.websaver.ca/
http://www.brandsaver.ca/
There are also sites that send you FREE samples. My fave is:
www.nexttonothing.ca/canadian-freebies.html
As you can see, I am a bit obsessed these days (my latest) and really getting a buzz from getting things for FREE! Did you know that you could get free makeup and other products by mail in rebate? Just look for items in the store with stickers or hang tags that say "free with mail in rebate" "full price rebate by mail" etcetera.
Today I picked up these three items and will fill out my rebate forms tonight to get all my money back!
(*always read what you have to do to get the rebate carefully, date and other restrictions may apply)

Kitty has over 70 videos you can watch to find out more about couponing and lots of what she has to say applies to Canada too.
How do you save money? Do you know of any good coupon sites? Do tell!

Good luck on Facebook and with all that couponing, I hear it's a full time job in of itself! LOL
Good luck with the couponing , my SIL is in it way too deep so be cautious!
I love the family photos, you children are darling!
ooooh I love that show Extreme Couponing....I can't believe the stuff they get for nothing!!! Good luck with your couponing :)
I don't use coupons as much as I should...but Extreme Couponing is just awful-most of those people are real crazy and totally greedy. Plain old couponing is ok but....
Extreme Couponing should be renamed Extreme Hording ... I don't have the time to do coupons big time, i don't have a spare room to hoard all of my goodies into, and 99% of the coupons are for stuff i just don't use ... you cant afford to be brand loyal if you take your couponing seriously ... have fun with it though ...
Hey Carrie! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I am LOVING couponing! I was able to go to a class a few weeks ago and learn how to use them 'strategically'. And the instructor made a point to say, "NOT to be like the people on Extreme Couponing"
The other day I got 60.00 in razors for FREE and was paid to take some Colgate toothpaste! :)
I'm not doing it to be greedy or to hoard. I'm doing it because I am a part-time working, full-time student, who loves to save money.
