Geocaching 101

I was introduced to Geocaching by a friend and now it is my latest obsession!  The kids love the treasure hunting and I love getting us outside as a family.  We've seen new parks, gone on a hike and met lots of creatures. 

Our first adventure we learned a very valuable lesson: look for trails or roads nearby (driving directions are provided) or you may have to abandon your stroller and bushwack! LOL

Serenity spotted this one very quickly (she was thrilled) and it even contained our first travel bug (more on these later).  Dr. Klobber was from Germany and wanted to see the world.  So we took him to the zoo and then to the USA, where we left him for a new cacher to find. 

I highly recommend getting a GPS unit or an app for your phone and going on these (mostly free) adventures.  Go to www.geocaching.com for more information.  Or just ask me :D

Walk with Nana

Love this picture.  All except the hunk a junk truck in the neighbour's yard.  Don't see it, that's cuz I stuck my journalling on top of it!

Totally fun embellies (got this page idea from Scrapbooks Etc) but don't try to do this flower with floss, it just looks messy.  You need thick twine.

Scary Sisters

If only I could get them to pose all pretty.......sigh!  NOPE, LOOOOOVE it that they are crazy and scary and oh so funny!  I wouldn't have it any other way.

Loving bakers twine these days so I sort of created my own by alternating orange and black thread when I sewed.

Under the Tree

The Little's decided that trimming the tree was not for them.

Love cutting up pretty paper and then adding to it.

We have special stuffed animals that only sit under the tree (and it doesn't look so bare before prezzies).  The kids cannot get enough of them.  Limited editions, so to speak.
