My mom made me a baby book and took lots of pictures of us when we were kids but today, with all the modern technology we have so much more to work with when documenting our lives. I made duplicate pages for Serenity and Rayna, which I don't do very often.
I have a leather bound journal that I keep for each girl where I record their milestones, stories and quotes and it is fun to look back through at some of the things I have already forgotten. It's even funnier when I come across the same story twice LOL!
The picture is of my old camera before I went digital (thanks Snuffy)! Now I can take even more pictures and actually tell if they turned out right away!
Project 365 has me recording lots of our everyday lives as a family. I also have a video camera and, most recently, started this blog! They are definitely going to have well documented lives!
Picture of the Day
I finally had a chance to finish stamping the day of the week and date on each of my Project 365 journalling cards. I decided December should all be red cards. I can't believe how much work this project has been and how much I have enjoyed it!

Wow! Your mom was very much ahead of her time then...I don't have a baby book or a lot of baby photos...:( Ahh..I was the second child. My older brother has loads of baby pictures, so does my sister.
I think it's great that you are going through such lengths to document your kids' lives...they will appreciate it...:)
Meanwhile, happy birthday to your mom!
I love those pgs. and the fact that you made one for each of the girls...such a sweet idea. And i love those leather journals in the pic ...those are so gorgeous! Have a great day and happy bday to your mom!
Love that your Mom did this..I have a an album that my Mom put together for me of all my art work and report cards!!! So special...love the journaling cards!!! Sending Birthday Wishes to Mom!!!! :-)
WOW! You are so organized. And I think you inherited it from your mom! My mom has a big box of my baby photos all stuffed together. And now I have several boxes of pictures of my own kids. If someone could just give me maybe 6 more hours in my day, I'd have them all organized and beautiful!
OK. I'm seriously impressed. And I love your December journalling cards. Happy Birthday to your Mom! She must be soooo proud of you!
Wow, love the page and all of those journalling cards!
Dear Carrie & Blog followers,
Thank you for your Birthday wishes-made my day & it's only 7:34 AM!
The girls are fortunate that you have such wonderful memories for them to look back on! Wish my Mum had done it for me. The books look gorgeous. And yes, I am very proud of my Carrie - she is talented, generous, fun and smart too! (Must be from my side!) Love, Mum
My mom gave us all albums of all of our baby and childhood pictures I treasure it. You have taken it to a whole new level with all the effort and creativity you put into all of your pages. Your girls will undoubtedly cherish theirs all the more.
Hope your mom has a wonderful birthday!!

I take lots of picture but never realy add a story with it.
Your kids are going to love that!!

Happy Birthday Mum! Love your layout Carrie, and I'm with you on documenting our lives now so that our kids can really remember what we did and what was important to our family. WTG!

WHAT an awesome idea, love the book idea, I did that in my sons baby book, but ran out of room.
WOw I love the red for your 365 it looks incredible and your journal books are really beautiful. Your girls are so lucky, it will be nice to cherish those memories and milestones when they are older.
it is so sweet that you are taking such care to document your little ones lives! :) i am not as talented in the scrapbooking department (not yet anyway!), so i just have a plain ol' baby book with some pics and cards, things like that. it will have to suffice ;)
Love those red cards. FAB!
Fabulous layouts! Wow-how nice that you keep separate journals for your children. They will treasure those when they are grown I'm sure.
