The Festival of Trees is a display in the Four Seasons Hotel where different companies decorate trees to look at! The most creative ornies were definitely the ones created out of door stoppers and faucets (not pictured here) but the girls loved the McDonald's and Firefighter trees best! Oh the dalmation lights made Serenity shriek with excitement!
I created the large background tree by taking a 12x12 piece of white paper and cutting it in half on the diagonal. Then I punched strips of patterned paper, inked them and stapled them to the triangles (being sure to line up the rows). Super easy and a great use of scraps (I am going crazy with my Making Memories Mistletoe line of paper)!

I used to buy all my embellies...but I am now enjoying making them and they are so much more inexpensive this way!!!

I use all types of embellishemnts, probably the pre-made type more often, but once in awhile Like to play with making my own.

A beautiful page. That tree is cool. I like making my own embellishments but sometimes I just can't pass by a pre-made one. I would say my pages are about 50-50.
