Blue Eyes

I love that the girls all got Snuffy's eye color!  They are eyes as blue as a blueberry!

Do you ever do duplicate pages for your kids?  I used to do this a lot but now I don't do it very often.

Family Update

Loads of stuff going on with us and I am so sleep deprived I can't remember to do anything 5 seconds after I decide to do it.  Lucius still needs to be fed every 3 hours (which means I am averaging 2 hours sleep in between each feed) until he is 8 lbs!  Luckily, I weighed him yesterday and he is 7 lbs 12.3 oz's! Here he is a few days after being born:

Here he is at Build A Bear last week:
Can you believe one of the bear hats fit him? LOL  Looks a bit like Frank Sinatra to me! Auntie Sarah brought him a Halloween outfit - looooove the feet!
Poor little bug now has a cold - and so do all the girls - oh the joys of having a kid in Kindergarten!

Speaking of which, Serenity is still having a tough time adjusting.  Some tears and wanting to stay with us, especially when she finds out we did "stuff" without her.  Her shyness is making it hard to make friends too.  However, we do have her in Sparks and she is starting to open up there.  Hopefully it helps with her self confidence.
Rayna is missing Serenity terribly and never fails to tell anyone who will listen that Serenity is in Kindergarten and she will be going next year.  She has developed a whine (that is KILLING me) and crying (soooo not like her).  This is her on a good day:
Skyler has totally switched allegiances to Auntie Sarah.  Whenever she is hurt or wants a cuddle, that's who she goes to.  The poor bug is also getting ALL 4 of her eye teeth at once!  Here she is sporting her tutu:
On a positive note, I am no longer diabetic (woo hoo, no more poking myself for blood) and no longer have high blood pressure (no more meds for me)!  If only I could get more sleep, I'd be golden!  Feeling creative withdrawls and bloggy friend withdrawls too.  I'm hoping to get some time to blog regularly again soon (probably at night).  Miss you guys

Superstar

***WARNING*** graphic stitches pictures scrapped here!  I did lots of stitching on the page too!

Poor Serenity - here's the story:
I made these stars pop up by following a tutorial at the GCD Studios blog.  It's really quite simple, just a bunch of scoring or folding of your star and a popdot.  Love the dimension it gives and will be doing this again!
Have you ever had stitches?  I've only ever had staples - ACK!

Ernie and Bert

I loved Sesame Street as a kid and nothing was funnier than Ernie and Bert!  They may have annoyed each other sometimes, but they were still the best of friends.

Right now they are each other's best friends and I hope that they stay that way.
Do you have sisters?  Are you close? I love my sisters, even if we do annoy each other every once in awhile LOL!

3 Lil Monsters

My three little monsters in the park making funny faces at me!  I love when I get them all looking directly at me (usually at least one of them is NOT)!  Loving these Sassafrass felt monsters!

Skyler just wandered into this picture and made a goofy face!
Do you like to make goofy faces in pictures?

3 bugs on a Rug

We got bored at Grandpa's one day (he fell asleep on us - LOL) so I took some pictures of the girls on the shag carpet!  They giggled and hugged and rolled around on the soft floor!

I used some smooch on some of the circles to give it a little glimmer and sewed on the border of the big circle.  I laced up the paper to make the page more girly too!
Can you fall asleep anywhere?

Home Haircut

Serenity loved having me cut her bangs for the first time.
She thought it was very funny that Mommy was going to do it (instead of our good friends who are hairdressers).  I love how much fun she had looking at herself in the mirror.  This is what it would have been like if she were twins! LOL!
Whenever I go to the bathroom the girls follow me like shadows and love to check themselves out in the mirror.  It's very cute to see them pose or make faces. Do you cut your own hair?  Your kids?  Any disasters?

Up Up Up

My girls are growing UP UP UP!
I love making lollipop flowers so I thought, why not turn one into a Sun?
I love the goofy faces they are making!
I love this paper line, very pretty and saturated with color.  What is UP with you?

PS - Baby Update:  We had to take Lucius to the Children's Hospital because he is 'failing to thrive' (too tiny and not gaining enough weight).  Loads of tears and stress and my poor mom had to take Serenity to her first day of Kindergarten (on her own).  Nana has been such a huge help, don't know what I would have done without her the last few weeks. We now have a plan for Lucius's health so hopefully he will be better/bigger soon.  Fingers Crossed!!

Persistence

Oh how I love that Serenity has such Persistence!  If she keeps it this will help her immensely in life.
I love that both adults gave up before she did.
Check out the crazy picture she did and how proud she is of finishing it!
Notice that I got an owl on the page LOL! What trait do you possess that serves you well?

Lazy Daze

This is the cutest picture of Serenity and her first little boyfriend Cole!  I love how they are both holding their legs up - what is up with that? LOL
I used lots of Tim Holtz tickets and cut the clouds with a Cricut at my LSS.
I figured this turtle embelly was perfect for use on a lazy day page!  What is your fave thing to do on a lazy day?

Baby Update: Lucius is driving us all a little nuts - he sleeps all day and tries to scream the house down at night!  ACK!  So my mom is the designated bad guy and on "keep him awake" duty during the day!  It breaks all our hearts to hear him cry.

Skyler has resorted to cloaking herself in her blankie all day long for comfort and runs to my mom for love (gotta love having Nana around).

Rayna is all teary eyed and fighting with Serenity like crazy.  She crys her heart out whenever we leave the house without her.  This is very unusual for her, she's not a cryer.

Serenity is super stressed about school and crying at the drop of a hat over any tiny thing.

I just keep thinking "THIS TOO SHALL PASS" (or I'll have to take up drinking)!

Let her Eat Cake!

Skyler wasn't that excited about her cake at first....but then.........she even tried to eat the bowl!

I originally bought this background paper with a mind to making a great soft baby page, like my Scrapaholic friend Susan.  However, I totally loved it for this cake page!  I doodled with black pen on the sun rays to give it a less than perfect look!
Loving this flower trim that I picked up from Fabricana for dirt cheap and the tickets from Tim Holtz and Jenny Bowlin!  This page is just so fun! Do you buy your patterned paper with pictures in mind or just buy it because you like the design and figure you'll find pics to go with it?

Baby Announcement!

So exciting....we had a baby.........................................

.........wait for it...................................BOY!

HOLY HANNAH!!!

The surgeon said, "It's a boy!"
Snuffy said, "You're LYING"
Nurse #4 said, "No really, it's a boy"
I said, "Show me the P**IS!".................
and they did! LOL

His name is Lucius William and he was 6 lbs 10oz's!  My smallest bug yet but he was 3 weeks early because of my health.  We still aren't quite over the shock!

Here he is doing his best pirate impression!
And here are the baby announcements I made to go along with our newest little monkey!  I always struggle with cards and then go overboard with all the steps it will take to get them done.  I made 46 of these and it took FOREVER!  I spent one whole crop just cricutting the monkey's and putting them together.  LOL!
Well, off to get some sleep!

Letting Go

Since today is officially the first day of Kindergarten for Serenity (and lots of other kids) I thought I'd share this page.

I always figured it would be hard for me to let my baby go but never imagined it would be just as rough on her.  I figured she'd be happy to get away from me LOL! (just kidding)  I really loved going to school so it has been hard for me to understand her reluctance.
I know she will adjust but I hope it isn't too hard on us both!
How was your first day of school?  or your baby's?

Happy Birthday Rayna

I want to say Happy 4th Birthday to my sweeeeeet Rayna!  With all the excitement of Lucius coming home and Serenity starting school tomorrow her Birthday is a bit low key this year but I want her to know how much I love her!  (a million, billion, eleventy gertzillion with ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce and a cherry on top) Rayna said that this layout should be titled "Tongue Slide" because that's what we call it.  It is a ridiculous slide with no edges and sooooo dangerous!  I only let them go on it if I am holding their hands and they slide on their tummies.

I am loving the purple from Bo Bunny's latest lines, lately the girls have been in a ton of purple and no other lines seem to have any purple. Do you love or hate purple?

Kindergarten

Oh, Kindergarten, we reeeeeaaaallly hope everything goes smoothly!  I love this pic of Serenity on her way to a Kindergarten orientation - so full of excitement!
I used the same piece of paper to do the blue scallop and the heart circle and hid the seam behind this uber bright pink ribbon (which I love).  I really like to make use of ALL of the paper if I can.
Wish us luck this week! How do you make the most of your paper?

One Wish

I love how huge the cake was for Serenity's first birthday!  As most of you know, I cannot bake to save my life, so my dear friend Patti offered to bake the cake!  She knew it was only going to be 4 mom's and their babies (we were in the midst of moving) but somehow got carried away LOL!

Serenity was so tentative with her cake until she got one good taste of icing and then she just couldn't eat it fast enough.  She shovelled it in like I was going to take it away at any moment.  Very fun!! What was your best birthday cake ever?
