Skyler wasn't that excited about her cake at first....but then.........she even tried to eat the bowl!
I originally bought this background paper with a mind to making a great soft baby page, like my Scrapaholic friend Susan. However, I totally loved it for this cake page! I doodled with black pen on the sun rays to give it a less than perfect look!
Loving this flower trim that I picked up from Fabricana for dirt cheap and the tickets from Tim Holtz and Jenny Bowlin! This page is just so fun!
Do you buy your patterned paper with pictures in mind or just buy it because you like the design and figure you'll find pics to go with it?

I so do both. Sometimes I just pick something because it is beautiful and other times I actually take my pictures to the store to get the right paper.
I think the energy and the motion of this page are just incredible. You are so talented.
almost always i pick paper because of how it looks! the only time i pick paper based on photos is when planning a mini album! i love how that paper sets off the photos...and those pics are adorable! i love the ones with her hands in the air! lol!
