Yep, that's right, year THREE! I started taking a picture a day when it was Project 365 and then last year switched it up a bit by devoting whole weeks to one topic. This year I've got a plan to add more memorabilia to my book. Even a boring old movie ticket will be cool in 50 years, if only for the price. I've already got the itunes gift card my sister gave me. Very cool is that it fits perfect in the extra journalling pocket slot. Another plan I have is to use a Now and Then approach to journalling.
Poor Skyler has hair drama. I won't get into it now but one of the best ways to fix it is to give her this side ponytail. She thinks it makes her look like a "cin-cess". It reminds me of the 80's and getting up early to fix my little sister's hair for her. She had super long hair and totally let me experiment on her head. Even if it turned out a bit crazy (like the braid around her head) she always wore it proudly to school. LOL!
I think my kids will love seeing and reading stuff about me when I was a kid (and Snuffy too). One of my fave stories of Snuffy's childhood is that he got danger pay for his first job at age 11. Whhhaaaaaat? Yup, danger pay for his paper route because he had to cross a highway. LOL
Here are some of my pictures so far this year:
Serenity got it into her head that she wanted to try coconut milk so Snuffy got her a coconut! None of the girls liked it LOL!
Our poor snowman with the rock hat and face. Somehow I never remember to get that carrot!
Crazy cool costumes given to us by friends! Love to play pretend, especially if puppies and kitties are involved.
I reallly love this project for so many reasons:
- I never feel behind in my scrapping because all the stories, big and small, make it into this album.
- I get to take pictures of weird stuff. (check out the hot dog octopus - Patti says if you bake em in the oven the legs curl up - gotta try that)
- I have the little things (that i wouldn't consider "page-worthy") recorded.
- Even the occassional bad picture makes it into this album and it doesn't mess it up.
- The changes I see in our lives and our kids even in one year are phenomenal - and i have it all in one place!
