Best Sister EVER

Serenity had been dying to get her ears pierced for the longest time.  These were the earrings she had picked out.  We ordered them and are still waiting for them to arrive.

Impatience runs in the family so when we were out and about we saw the free ear piercing at Walmart and she had to have it done.  Rayna must do everything her big sister does so she was in too.  Rayna quickly picked out a pink pair of butterflies while Serenity was racked with indecision.
When she finally picked pink too, the saleslady said, "Sorry, that was the last pair!"  Serenity started bawling!!!!!    Rayna picked up her pink pair, handed them to Serenity and said, "You can have my pair, I will choose blue instead - to go with my eyes!"  BEST SISTER EVER!!!!
Serenity flinched but didn't cry.
Rayna changed her mind so many times one of the ladies went off shift so she had to have each ear done 1 at a time.  This is the first ear:
This is the second:
This is afterwards with their matching necklaces. (also wearing their "baby-soup's")
Have you ever had a traumatizing ear piercing?

First time at Camp

Serenity's and I had our first camping experience with the Sparks on the weekend (5 and 6 year old Girl Guides) and she had a hoot.  She loved picking out the bunk bed (the top, of course) for her and I.

She loved doing the arts and crafts.
She loved the nature walk and geocaching.  I love the Geocaching too and think I now have to buy a GPS for our family.
She loved the campfire and the singing.
She really loved the giant smores too.
On the way home she said to me, "Can we go somewhere else Mommy?"
I said, "Where do you want to go?"
She said, "Anywhere Mommy, I just want to stay with you!"

Then when we got home we crawled in bed together and she reached out and held my hand and we fell asleep for a 3 hour nap.  And that is why I volunteer so much of my time with Girl Guides!  Were you ever a Guide or Scout?  What was your fave activity with them?
