Serenity had been dying to get her ears pierced for the longest time.
These were the earrings she had picked out. We ordered them and are still waiting for them to arrive.
Rayna quickly picked out a pink pair of butterflies while Serenity was racked with indecision.
When she finally picked pink too, the saleslady said, "Sorry, that was the last pair!" Serenity started bawling!!!!!
Rayna picked up her pink pair, handed them to Serenity and said, "You can have my pair, I will choose blue instead - to go with my eyes!" BEST SISTER EVER!!!!
Serenity flinched but didn't cry.
Rayna changed her mind so many times one of the ladies went off shift so she had to have each ear done 1 at a time.
This is the first ear:
This is the second:
This is afterwards with their matching necklaces. (also wearing their "baby-soup's")
Have you ever had a traumatizing ear piercing?

OMG! Their faces are so darling!
How wonderful that you captured this experience for them! The expressions were priceless!
What a milestone, I am lovin the second pierced ear shot! Shoot, when I was a kid, there was no option for a two ears at once!
what cute photos! they look so happy! and i think i almost cried...best sister ever!!!!
They are adorable! What a cool sisterly story! :)
I had my ears pierce thrice. First time, my mother took it out a week later instead of a month so it wouldn't fit back in. Second time I had an infection from the piercing. Third time...success! But I hardly wear earrings...too lazy...lol
Great photos! Love Rayna's expressions.
Those photos are priceless, what we do to ourselves....LOL. Brave, beautiful girls!
Love the last photo - so pretty of both of them. However, Rayna is looking too darn grown-up. You need to put a "lid" on her! Love, Mum
i got my ears pierced in Kindergarten and i screamed bloody murder! LOL!
Ahhhhh! Look at those little faces! What great shots you got of this big event for your girls! And Serenity...you are such a great sister! Wonderful story Carrie!
That is such a sweet story, and what a selfless big sister! I can picture my Ailis doing the same. Never had probs with the ear piercing, but had an interesting belly button piercing story involving an S&M shop on Granville street.
