G is for Gingerbread

I am playing along with Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday. We made a Gingerbread House for the first time this year and mostly the girls wanted to eat the candy and icing!  We should have listened to the directions and let the icing set before allowing them to decorate because the roof kept sliding open and candy kept falling inside!

Serenity kept going back to steal finger tips full of icing, making more fall off the house!  Poor sad little house! Rayna put 2 or 3 candies in her mouth for every one that made it onto the house. They didn't quite understand why we wouldn't let them eat it immediately after it was decorated! LOL

I created this gingerbread house by cutting up a 6x6 piece of chipboard!  4x5 for the house, 2x6 for the roof and a left over piece for the chimney!  Love putting the snow on the roof and stitching the smoke from the chimney!
Do you like to eat gingerbread?  I don't, but it does smell good!
