Read On

I love the library, always have, and am so glad that my girls love it too.  Almost every week we go to story time and I let the girls pick out a few books.

I remember when I was little that my mom would take us once a month and we were allowed to choose 25 books each (the library limit)!  That was always sooooo awesome!
I hope my girls have a life long love of books!

What was your fave book as a child?

PS - I got this sketch from a LO by Kim Watson in CK tips and tricks.  I really liked how she did a strip of patterned paper (cut with a border punch) over the same patterned paper, to give it subtle dimension.

Great layout! I feel the same about books! They are everywhere in our house, at this rate they will take over at some point, but I don't care so long as my boys have a love of books!

PS - I got the paper-wrapped wire at the Dollar store, of all places, haha! Thanks for all the kind comments on my blog!

Forgot to say my favorite book as a child was a book about puppies. I believe I still have it. They went to the circus as I recall and they wore hats etc. I really loved books then & now. Mum

My kids love the library and books, and so do I. I'm going to book club tonight, as a matter of fact! And my daughter was just in the newspaper for her summer reading club, so I'll be scrapping that soon. I liked Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden as a kid.

Do I have to pick just one book?
Super Fudge and the Great Brain were some of my favorite characters.
In sixth grade my favorite book was the Grey King. It won some type of award. I was so upset when I found out it was not the first in the series. My teacher was thrilled and gave me the titles of all the rest of them. :)
