Halloween was a Hoot!

We started out by going to storytime and reading Halloween stories. Aren't the girls adorable in their costumes?

Then we went to Trunk-or-Treat at my mom's church. Everyone decorates their trunks and the kids go round and round until all the candy is done. This is our trunk.

There was a gypsy reading fortunes, a redneck outpost (complete with toilet paper on a log), a garbage bag and pool noodle spider (very cute and huge), and a door to knock on and yell boo!

The girls loved a guy dressed up like Woody, complete with pull string on his back. He made them giggle by saying, "there's a snake in my boot!" It was hilarious to see that when a trunk was unattended the girls put lots of thought into what they were choosing from the bowl. Even funnier when they kept choosing until someone stopped them (they're no fools).

They did run into a gang of unruly pirates but luckily they didn't make off with the butterfly like they intended! After all, she was the only thing keeping some of us warm! Such a chilly night, but we were grateful that it didn't rain!

At the end of the night the girls faced off with their suckers, trying to see who could eat it faster!
Poor Rayna had a melt down on the way home when she realized that we'd left her skeleton at Nana's house! She cried and said that she wanted to keep him, "forever and ever!" and made sure we called Nana to ask for him back as soon as we got home! What was the best part of your Halloween?
